While we're waiting

Last few months have been crazy busy. Work, school, hockey, cheer, eat, sleep, repeat... Carter's 8th birthday party - bowling and sleep over as well as the Blue and Gold banquet for Cub Scouts. Victoria had a long weekend competition at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells last weekend, and her team placed 2nd in their division. Another competition this coming Sunday and the final competition next weekend.

I-800 Provisional Approval

Received our I-800 provisional approval on Wed, Feb. 24th. This allowed us to send our LSC back to our adoption agency along with the Visa application for Addie. One more step complete! Now the paperwork gets delivered to the US Embassy in China for an Article 5 approval then a travel date gets set a few weeks later.

Good News

We received our LSC this week. So excited that travel is getting closer but disappointed when we realized we still have alot of paperwork to complete. We're allowed to share photos with family and friends now!

Also celebrating Carter's 8th birthday today!

Care Package

Addie got her package on 1/6/2010. Blanket, doll, bag, pictures, letter, and nightgown for her. Pants, socks, candy and cookies for the orphanage.

Addie's Room

Worked over the weekend to decorate Addie's room. After much debate, we found a bedspread and curtains that both mom and dad like! We hope to send her pictures soon!

Blog Update

We hope you like the template. John and I had an interesting search together looking for a layout and color that we thought fit our family. Had to go w/ red because it's Cherrie's favorite color and because it represents China! Figured I'd start the blog off with some family shots from this fall and winter. Hockey, cheer, and cutting down the Christmas tree!

LID Received

We received our Log In Date today. December 2nd, 2009

One of these days, we'll get to send our new daughter, Addie Ru Xue, a care package from us and then eventually go get her. In the mean time, I'll see if I can figure out how to operate this blog!
