Swimming went as expected. Very timid, but we did get her to kick her legs and wade a bit in the kiddy pool. We finally found McDonald's and navigated our way around the Chinese menu and pictures. Addie had her first Happy Meal of chicken nuggets and fries. She seemed to really enjoy it, but we've discovered that she is the SLOWEST eater on the planet and has clearly taken over Carter's position of slowest eater in the family. She starts everything with medium size bites then as she starts to get towards the end of a nugget, fry, or bread, she starts to half size her bites such that she's always biting even the slight piece in half. A small bag of fries took 30 minutes to eat. Victoria got a nice surprise with her chicken sandwich today. We forgot about Hunan people liking spicy food when we ordered off the picture. Victoria took one bite and said "Whoa - That's spicy!" She quickly exchanged sandwiches with dad. John said that was the hottest sandwich he's ever eaten at McD's. MUCH spicier than the McDonald's Spicy Chicken in the USA. It was starting to make him sweat which is REALLY hard to do when it comes to John and spicy food!
Victoria wanted me to make a notable mention about the site we saw while walking - children pottying on the sidewalk. Apparently it's quite normal!
