Day 5 Changsha City Park and Embroidery Shop

This morning we went to the main city park here in Changsha. Very interesting place to visit. It first reminded me of your normal park. People out playing instruments, exercising, trees, flowers, etc... Then, as we kept walking, we found that they have a permanent carnival set up in a section of the park. Roller coasters, bumper cars, several spinning rides, a merry go round, and a ferris wheel. My group was a bunch of chickens, and we ended up sticking w/ the merry go round. We may have tried out the ferris wheel, but it was sprinkling. The had a large pond filled with Koi so we got food and fed the fish. I think Addie enjoyed this, but we are still getting no sign of emotion. So far, the only emotion came when she got her head unexpectedly wet yesterday at the pool and was scared. The park was very beautiful. Had a larger lakea area with paddle boats, and we got to watch some men fishing.
After the park, we went to the Embrodery Institute. It is government owned. The works these ladies were producing were fabulous. We picked up a small framed panda to take home for Addie. John liked some of the really large pieces. One of the ones he liked translated to $40,000 USD. Don't think it's coming home any time soon.
Nap time again. I think everyone's enjoying this built in napping time. I even rested for awhile. John, Carter, and Addie are still out! After naps, I've got to start packing again. We leave the hotel around 6am tomorrow morning. Flying to Guangzhou. Addie's TB test has to be done as soon as we land tomorrow so that it will be ready to be read when she has her medical exam this weekend. All children over 2 have to have the TB test done. It made trying to get all of her exams done and ready for a Monday appointment tricky. Her passport won't be ready here in Changsha until tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning. Another American family who isn't leaving until Friday evening is bringing it with them to Guangzhou. Our guide is supposed to find them at our hotel, but trust me, I have their names so I will make sure they are located! :)
